Meneghetti Winery
Winemaking in Istria reaches back to antiquity, shaped by Mediterranean light, mineral soils and the steady influence of sea and wind. Generations cultivated Malvazija Istarska and robust red varieties long before modern classifications emerged. Stone cellars, patient harvests and respect for season defined the rhythm of production. Today, that legacy endures not as nostalgia, but as continuity: a living tradition where origin, restraint and craftsmanship remain the measure of quality.
Our Vineyards
The proximity of the Adriatic lends a subtle saline freshness and tension to our wines. Sea breezes moderate temperature, extend ripening and preserve natural acidity, shaping clarity, aromatic precision and balance without ever overpowering varietal character.
Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and open horizons, decisions are made with the understanding that beauty and quality are inseparable. The harmony of place translates into measured elegance and composure in the glass.
Winemaking at Meneghetti is guided by interpretation rather than intervention. Knowledge supports nature without dominating it. Fermentations, ageing and blending are handled with restraint, allowing personality and vintage character to remain intact.
The iron-rich red soil of western Istria defines structure, depth and identity. It lends tone, texture and quiet power to our signature wines, imprinting each vintage with a recognisable sense of origin firmly rooted in place.
